A spectral stand of silver birch at twilight. Low contrast, tone-on-tone hand cut marquetry in brown oak wraps around the ‘horizon’ of 5000 year old bog oak panels. The eye fills in details intentionally left out of the pattern. Hand rubbed oil finish. Edition of 3+1AP

A folding screen in solid wenge with bamboo pins and a hand rubbed oil finish, the Lattice screen is inspired by an architectural detail used in Machiya, Japan’s traditional wooden houses.
A fusion of a classic marquetry pattern of diamond-pattern ebony stringing in Makassar ebony, ZELOUF+BELL subtly subvert it by including inlaid insects. The lattice is made of up-cycled rusted steel rods; a bug is cut from salvaged steel and pin-mounted to one of the top panels.
Available in custom sizes.
